この編曲譜は2022年3月22〜26日に長崎で催された第11回JCAユースクワイアのリハーサルキャンプとコンサートのために作られたものです。ウクライナ人歌手ナターシャ・グジーさんの訳詞による「故郷（ふるさと）」の存在を松村努先生がキャッチされ、これを編曲してはどうかというご提案を私にいただいたのがJCAユース開催の数日前でした。それからの動きは非常にスピーディーで、松村先生のご仲介によりウクライナ語訳詞の編曲譜への使用をナターシャさんにお許しいただき、この編曲譜が3月20日にできあがりました。指揮の松原千振先生とJCAユースの優れたメンバーが短時間で仕上げてくださり、3月24日に長崎市の平和祈念像の前で献歌が実現しました。折しもウクライナにおける戦況が日々ニュース映像として飛び込んでくる中であり、音楽人としてこの機会に何か発信できないかという思いが重なっての行動でした。
このような経緯から、譜面を無料でシェアして多くの合唱人に歌っていただくのがいいのではないかと思い、全日本合唱連盟のご尽力でここに楽譜を公開することになりました。なおWEBサイト上でダウンロード可能な譜面は日本語のみのヴァージョンです。ウクライナ語版は訳詞の著作権処理を行う必要があるため、全日本合唱連盟事務局に申し込む形となっています。また、ウクライナ語の発音表記についてはナターシャ・グジーさんにお力添えいただきました。初演並びに譜面作成にあたってお世話になった皆さまに感謝申し上げます。
ウクライナ語版の方は、例えば一回目をウクライナ語、二回目を日本語（またはその逆）のように演奏する前提で編曲しており、リピートによってアレンジを変奏させることはしておらず、同じ音を異なる言語で歌うことの面白さを狙ったものになっています。
日本語版も編曲の内容は同じですので、一番〜三番を単純にリピートするとやや冗長に感じられるかも知れません。例えば一番をユニゾンで（その際は別の調でもいいでしょう）、二番と三番を編曲譜の通りに歌う等々、ご自由な発想でこの譜面をお使いいただければと思っています。
最後に、以下は私の個人的な思いですが、この曲があらゆる国の言葉で歌われたらと夢見ています。たとえ国と国とに争いが起こっても、音楽を愛する市民どうしは連帯すべきだと思うからです。あるいは日常的にその心の連帯が持続すれば、世界から戦争をなくすことができるのではと（夢想的ではありますが）考えています。ウクライナ語、ロシア語、英語、中国語、ハングル・・・いろいろな言葉で歌い合える日が来るようにと願っています。
Message from Composer Takatomi NOBUNAGA
This arrangement was made for the 11th JCA
Youth Choir's rehearsal camp and concert held in Nagasaki, on March 22-26,
2022. A few days before JCAYC, choral conductor Tsutomu Matsumura, who had
found the song “Furusato” (My Old Country Home) in Ukrainian, translated and
sung by Ukrainian singer Nataliya Gudziy, suggested that I arrange the song
for JACYC. Every move was very quick from there. Thanks to Mr. Matsumura's
coordination, Ms. Gudziy gave her kind permission to use the Ukrainian
translation in my arrangement. The arrangement was completed on March 20.
And the conductor, Chifuru Matsubara, and the outstanding singers of JCAYC
rehearsed it in a short time. The choir dedicated the song in front of the
Peace Memorial Statue in Nagasaki on March 24. It was exactly when I was
feeling I should do something as a musician, with the war situation in
Ukraine being reported daily on the news.
Considering such background, I thought it would be ideal to share
the score free of charge so that many choral singers could sing it. With the
help of JCA, the score is available here. Only the Japanese version can be
downloaded from the website. For the Ukrainian version, please email JCA, so
they can follow the the copyright-related procedure for the Ukrainian
translation. I would also like to thank Ms. Gudziy for her help in describing the
pronunciation of the Ukrainian words. I would like to thank everyone who was
involved in preparation of the score and the premiere performance.
The work was premiered by JCAYC a cappella in mixed chorus, while the score
includes an optional piano accompaniment and a female chorus version. The
mixed chorus and the female chorus versions can be performed simultaneously.
The Ukrainian version was arranged on assumption that it would be
sung as the first verse and the Japanese to follow as the second verse (or
vice versa). For this reason, the arrangement is not varied for each
repetition, so that the singers can enjoy singing the same notes in
different languages. Since the arrangement is the same for the Japanese
version, you may find it somewhat redundant to simply repeat the three
verses. You can sing, for example, the first verse in unison (or in a
different key), and the second and third verses as per the arrangement.
Please feel free to be creative.
Finally, here are my personal
thoughts: I dream of this song being sung in every language. Even when there
are conflicts between countries, I believe that citizens who love music
should be in solidarity with each other. Or that there would be no war in
the world if such solidarity could be sustained on a daily basis, albeit
only a dream. I hope that one day we will be able to sing this song together
in Ukrainian, Russian, English, Chinese, Korean... in many different
languages.
